We purchased a 2004 996tt X50 tip cab yesterday in North Carolina and took it on a bit of a road trip (1230 miles) back home to Minnesota. Thank you all for your advice during the search process. We have been looking for about seven years preparing to buy one this year (40th Birthday).
Because of your help and advice, I was able to negotiate the items that needed service and was comfortable making the purchase, especially after the test drive and review of the recent maintenance and inspection.
My son and I flew out to get it and the road trip trip back was awesome! I appreciate the members here exchanging information so those of us new to Porsche ownership can learn more about these cars.
