Why does everyone try to out think this stuff?
The amount of time and $pend on bs like this astounds me.
Either replace like for like or go ALL GT2 and be done.

well gents, I just went out and re-checked the clutch fluid under the frunk and sure enough it is pretty damn high so I am assuming that I will need to replace slave cylinder. Also, since my clutch is a little more difficult to actuate when the motor is off that my accumulator also needs to be replaced...Looks like a full tear out this weekend and install the following weekend. Thanks so much to Danspach for all the great info! Ill keep yall posted.

Im stuck. I cant for the life of me figure out how to get the last hydraulic line off (at step 10).

10: After you have to use the fuel/ac removal tool. I purchase a set for $13.00. It is to hold the red collar in place when you want to pull the middle line out.
I tried using these, but could not get them to work and had to call it a day as it was 90 degrees in the garage.

Any ideas how to get this damn line off?
Thanks, JLL

The only thing I can tell you is the red color has to be held towards the slave and it should not move out when you pull the line out. Push the line in, hold firmly the red collar and pull hard on the line. Sometime it can be difficult to pull out....

Jalee,

check out post #5 to see what I used. I modified my trim removal tool (cut is with a box cutter very carefully) to remove the quick-connect line. It worked well because it's long enough and the 45-degree angle works perfectly. Go easy on it . You don't want to force it.

well, after 4 more hours of trying to get the press in fitting disconnected I have come up with defeat. Apparently it is plastic and it finally broke in half. I will be starting another thread that deal with that. To conclude this thread long story short is get it high enough to comfortably work under and still be able to spin the wheels so that you can rotate the axle to get the bolts undone.
