Secondary Air injection rediness monitor not resetting
I have a 2001 Porsche Carrera and all of the codes are gone and all of the monitors are ready except for 1. Secondary air injection. I have done the drive cycle as close to perfect as I can multiple times.

To my knowledge the drive cycle won't get that ready are you trying to pass emissions? Most will let you by with one thing not ready.

Do you hear the secondary air injection pump come on at cold start? It should come on and run a while until the converters are hot enough to sustain the desired chemical actions on the exhaust gases. (These are heated up courtesy of the extra air injected into the exhaust system by the secondary air injection system and the extra fuel the DME injects. These combine to burn in the exhaust system and result in quicker heat up of the converters and thus less cold start emissions.)
If the secondary air injection pump is running then there is another problem and to diagnose this will probably require the services of a knowledgeable Porsche 996 Turbo technician.
Yes it comes on. I can hear it whine and feel it spinning on cold starts. Thanks, I will take it to a professional shop. I have exhausted all my other options.
you are correct, the only one still allowable to "pass" is the "evap", can be in "not ready" since that could as simple as a bad gas cap seal. *if* you find the right tech. they can *force* reset the last monitor to "ready".
