Meridian Metallic and Orient Red are the bomb. I almost bought an Orient Red 996TT.

The Orient Red car I was looking at had a tan interior that looked beautiful but for some reason the headliner was grey. I wasn't sure if or why it was done that way at the factory but it just looked wrong to me so I passed on it.

I wound up buying a Biaritz White car, a color I absolutely love and get a lot of compliments on.

I have meridian metallic.... beautiful color.. get a lot of joking crap from my friends occasionally about buying a pink Porsche... the red tint gives it a rosé look in certain lighting/angles... Love it though.

Pic with my buddy's cobalt 997.1TT from a local meet last weekend..

My mother had a Lexus back in the late 90's that looked just like the color on the 996 on the right. Grey with a touch of pink in it.

One of the first 996 Turbos I saw was Zanzibar. Made a lasting impression, A Zanzibar Cab would make me jump ship.

One of my previous Porsches was Lapis - fantastic color.

One thing puzzles me: with the long history of pushing the limits with color selection (including PTS) why does it seem like the colors of all the new showroom Porsches are right out of the Toyota Camry pallette?

It's probably just what sells cars to the masses. I'm sure if the market did not want these colors Porsche wouldn't be making them.

Because they pocket an extra $5k or so on every PTS.
And boring colors make people want to pay it.

It is is also like why dealer do not stock manual cars, a lot easier to sell a boring colored car. Speed yellow is a no cost color yet you do not see many of them.
