Default Moon-roof Noise after repair

I recently had my moon-roof track replaced because of a bad part... could not replace the plastic culprit so replaced the whole framework mechanism.

With the moon-roof retracted in the open position, I hear a muted rattle when running over bumps.

Do you hear any noise from yours as you drive over larger road seams or bumps?

The 996 tt is also known as the rattler. You can spend a lifetime and never understand the origins of these rattles.

There is a little plastic tab that snaps onto a metal rod that holds up the headliner just above the seam in the headliner behind the front seats. If it comes off, It can cause a wicked rattle with the roof open. The rod is not held up above it, and rattles against the retracted roof over bumps. I took down my headliner (a major pain) before realizing I probably could have snapped it back in place with the headliner intact. I lost my pictures, but if you push up on the headliner seam behind the seats and one side feels like there is something loose above the headliner, that's probably your culprit.
