Default Infinite budget = Ultimate 996 Turbo Racecar w 1000+HP

I posted this car in the Auction thread because it's coming up for auction in May at Auctions America. The Auction listing doesn't really have all that much info about the car but it looks like an insane build with an enormous budget!

Apparently Patrick Long helped set the car up and said : It was the 'most ridiculous Porsche he'd ever driven'

Anyway, it's an interesting car and story, there is also a video about the car and a podcast here: http://www.thedrive.com/flat-six-soc...sson-in-excess

More info here on WHY it's for sale: http://www.thedrive.com/accelerator/...oes-to-auction

Really easy to get close to their lowside estimate just building a bad boy one for the track.
Would be a bargain if it goes for the low estimate and you have a "support" friend/shop that can understand the set-up.

Like I was saying in the auction thread this is an all out build by Kelly Moss and Level Five racing and some of the best engineers in the industry. You can go the the Slip Angle pod cast and listen to (Jeff Braun episode) him talk about the car and what went into it. Turns out I've have read at least 800k+ went into the development. It's a 3x national SCCA STO championship winning car. It's a beast! The crazy thing too is that it had to be ran on DOT R6 Hoosiers as per rules.

911mhawk, for sure the estimate they have seems crazy low. I mean just buying a nice clean 996TT and putting coilovers, exhaust, tune, and a few knick knacks will get you darn close to that money, lol

Z06, yeah this thing is definitely on another level. What's the going rate to get Patrick Long out to help set up your car

Will be interesting to see what it goes for. Thinking someone might end up with a bargain but I've been wrong plenty of times before.

Will be interesting, it wouldn't be cheap to run and most people that are looking to spend that kind of budget racing would probably go do something like the Pirelli GT3 Cup, PWC or IMSA. Might limit its possible buyer pool but how fun would it be to make some laps in!
