Default 997 Turbo Spoiler on a 996 Turbo

I'm thinking this has NEVER been tried before. But I had both wings off my cars yesterday, and it flashed on me that perhaps the 997 Turbo Wing would fit on the 996 Turbo. Turns out it does. Of course if you don't already know me, both cars have a 4" eRam setup. I had to use our extended wing bushing so that there is clearance when down, but the interesting news is the 7 Wing almost sits flush when down. Of course it looks unreal when up IMHO. Couple of pictures (I have many more for those that are interested):

Looks good Dave! Always fun seeing what works from one car to another. This is how I found out the MK1 Audi TT seat rails are the same as the Euro GT3 seats.

Nice find! Been looking at the Strosek for a while but an oem wing would be pretty sweet. Surprised no one has tried this before!

Great idea! It looks really good, a lot like the techart type 1 wing blade.

The bonus is that there are usually a few wings for sale on eBay as owners swap out for a fixed wing deck lid.

I've never asked but always wondered if the mounting centers were the same because I thought the 997 Werks wing would be cool with your taller kit.

So if I understand it correctly, this new fitment requires your eRam to make it work because of spacing.

Yes it does - but it appears that any size eRam will work (2", 3" or 4") I think I will buy a used 997 wing for my 996 Turbo, which is morphing into a street/track car. DID NOT try the 996 wing on the 997 turbo... but may just for a good chuckle.

well, if you do? the 997 turbo will surely have wing envy lol

the more i see of the a/b pics, the more i am reminded of the TA "type1" ( is it? ) which strosek also "borrows" from. porsche may have even taken their design cue from the ta wing for 996 turbo for the 997tt.

Was just thinking the same thing considering I have the tech art type 1 wing and it looks JUST like this.
