Default Girodisk Rotors

I'm starting my research early for my next set of rotors and Girodisk seems to come up a lot with the group of guys that I run with but I have been warned that they do have to be "balanced" once you replace the disks for the first time and each subsequent change. Anyone else had this experience as well?

Ive been running Sebro rotors for the last few years and they've been fine, but I am wondering if I am missing out on something here. Also, I use Pagid RS29 Yellow pads if that makes any difference in the opinion of anyone.

Mike,
I am a large reseller of Giro Disc rotors and have never heard of this "balancing Problem".
I checked with Giro Disc and was told they were not aware of any balancing problems....

When new they come with a balance/runout measurement card attached to them but I've never heard anyone mention balancing them after replacing the rings.
FWIW, my 380 Giro's are cracking as fast or faster than the 350 Sebros I ran.
Not sure that going to a hat/rotor combo is worth it at 350mm, other thank for the weight loss.
Sebro 997 turbo front 350mm are like $300/pair delivered vs. replacement ring cost ???

Stay cheap on the 350 fronts, another year on the track and you'll want 380 anyway
