Default Advice on front suspension bushings

Does anybody have any advice or tips on removing the front struts and replacing the upper bushings? I've seen a couple writeups on this and they all go about it differently. Trying to avoid doing things the hard way. My ride is fitted with jrz rs1 struts with coil over springs.

Well I was able to get the strut removed but turns out cantrells ordered me the incorrect bushing I've never worked on this type of strut before and my spring compressors were way to big, so I ended up relieving the spring tension by loosening the adjusters at the base of the spring, then removing the two top nuts

. Did I do this right or should I not have messed with those?

No big deal the way you did it except you should go and get a corner balance when you're done.
