Default Sachs 764 install advice needed!

I'm installing this kit and need help! Very time sensitive..

2001 996 Turbo.. 764 kit as shown above with new dual new dual mass flywheel. Pressure plate is touching To bearing causing the whole assembly to bind even with just hand tight. Can some verify these part numbers and let me know if any ideas as to what is wrong?

TO bearing: Sachs, 2096, TYP KZIZ-2, 3151 000 464
Clutch disk: Sachs, 1849 002 358 358, 2,90; 11 S188 42571449
Pressure plate: Sachs, 88 3082 999 764

thanks a million! Moving next week and this is extremely time sensitive to get figured out!

Sitting like this, on the pressure plate, the center of the disk is directly contacting the TO bearing...and when tightened against flywheel, it completely locks it down.

here's the backside of the pressure plate to show the TO bearing.. any ideas??

Do you have the disc in backwards?

Okay, I am now a believer in magic! I contacted Kevin, he assured me the correct parts.. and to follow the instuctions. I did, doing 1/4 turn by turn.. and it worked.. by the very end, the TO bearing went from being almost completely frozen (as it was at hand tight) to free spinning.

I see now how (I think); the flywheel and disk, when cinched, depress the pressure plate, moving the TO bearing away, giving the disk and TO bearing the needed separation. Crazyness. I definitely hard nervousness about ruining a $2500 setup. All is good. Continuing with install!

im so glad to see that it worked out in the end. when i saw it frozen i wasnt comfortable moving forward since i have never seen one act like that. didnt want to damage the disk by putting even more pressure in it

Yup, had me scratching my head when I put my 764 clutch in as well. Completely normal and it's just a lot of preload build into the diaphragm spring.
