Default Transmission mount-stop bumper does it matter

I'm doing the tranny oil and found some red rubber broken from the side of my tranny mount. On six speed someone said it's no biggie but I find it hard to believe they would out it there if it didn't serve a purpose. Any ideas out there. It's 5 in the diagram.

On Rennlist it's a biggie, haha.
Just use some old bike tube, hose cut, etc..it just insulates the bracket6/mount4

If it helps or matters . While doing some other work under my car , we put in torque solutions poly trans mounts. My old mounts were factory and bad. I notice a little more harshness with these, but its a good kind , gives it an older 911 feeling , and that's not a bad thing , lol.
