I live in Oregon and rarely do I see a 996TT. I see a whole bunch of 991's, 930, 964, 997 and just a few 996's. Purchasing my 996 TT is the best decision I ever made. Truly an amazing vehicle!

Owning my DD 996tt almost a year now and I have not yet seen one 996tt on the roads in San Diego! I've seen 996, Boxsters, 991 S/TT, 997 S/TT, Cayman/S, Panamera S/TT, and all Cayenne models. I've seen a few basic 993 but rare. The 993s or Turbo hardly on the roads.
I thought lot of our 996TT was produced a lot for the US market back then! What give?

I'm in El Paso, TX. I drive mine (Blk/Blk) to my office 5 miles each way 2-3 times a week. Have only seen 1 Blu Cabrio in 2 years. I travel up to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Eastern NM and West Texas (Midland/Odessa/Pecos/Ft. Stockton, etc) in my biz car and never see any either. But, PCCA is having the "Octoberfest Meet" in Deming, NM and I plan to see how many show up. Folks from CA, NV, AZ, CO, NM and TX are typical attendees so I understand. I am also elated to be rare! LOL.

Three Wheelin'
And in other news, there are three 996 Turbos in my immediate neighborhood. There's a midnight blue and gray one down the street, and my buddy up on top of the hill has a seal gray like mine (And he bought it new).

Except for Albuquerque and I-40 ? There are lots of money in Santa Fe. Do an aerial Google map of the SF airport on weekends. Nothing but King Air's, Citations, Falcons, etc. crowding the lot. They start arriving on Friday evening and leaving on Monday mornings. There is lots of natural gas explorations/production in southern CO and NE NM. Ferrari's, Lambo's, Rolls and plenty of Panamera's and Macan's. I even saw a McLaren F1 with CO tags this past January in Farmington NM, not very far from Durango CO. Just no 996 TT's We can't take oil and new money for granted. In fact, I even saw a large private home in the middle of nowhere with 2 stylish and new looking choppers with a bunch of young guys around the toys. Could not see what kind of cars because it was at a distance away from the road. New rich kids? Probably !

The point is that the population density of northern NM and southern CO (outside of Albuquerque and Denver), is very low, so not seeing many cars of any make while driving around those areas is the norm.
