Good point! The pricing is all over the place still with the high end almost $100k in europe, $78k in us, and the low end in the low 30's. Seems like the days of clean/well documented/stock(or at least easily reversible to stock)/clean title cars in the low 30's are behind us though for the most part. It's a moot point for me since I love mine too much to sell anyway Fun to see how the market seems to be headed and that these cars are finally getting a little respect!

For prices to skyrocket I'd have to sell mine first

I wish my 944T didnt have 95k miles. it was a one owner driven by this old doctor and it runs like a champ, even in the cold weather. The prices are going up for the Turbos, esp since it makes a good track car. I actually bought that new audio unit that has Nav, Bluetooth, aux ports for phones, hands-free calling, and its made by porsche so it looks stock. It was $1200 but the aftermarket POS is horrid looking. I bought a new Porsche steering wheel and new shifter to mimic the GT3 series. I ask myself why in the world am I dumping money into it but you just never know with Porsches, plus i have thought about selling my 996TT and keeping the 944 for financial reasons.
About the only thing i have done on the 996TT is put in the Rennline aluminum track pedals and aluminum floor mat. I have brand new floor mats for it too, those won't go down until I trade it in or sell it. That is one of those small things that makes a big difference to the eye of the buyer. I also replaced the climate control module because the buttons stuck and some of the screen was missing pixels, that was worth the money. I wish they would come out with a Porsche audio unit for that car so it still looks stock but it gives people todays technologies. The spoiler also keeps giving me issues, it just stays down no matter if I press the button or go over 65mph. I am thinking about putting spacers in there for the short term because it looks so much better IMO with it up.
Oh and I paid $600 to upgrade the taillights to the new LED ones. I dont want to mess with aftermarket engine items because it drives the price down, just stick with good quality aesthetics that makes it look newer.

The issue with 964 IMHO is that it isn't much of an improvement over the final years of the G series 911.

good low miles 964s are worth more than 993s already. 997tts are great cars but aren't as raw as the 996tt and 997s have those boring round headlights all the other porsches have. Time will honour the 996 headlights

There were about half as many 964 sold in US as 993 sold here.

I'm hoping for a bargain basement 996tt next winter...who care's what they're worth, buy and enjoy...996 is the hidden secret...997 is 'bland' to drive, 993 are old-school in construction( work on them and see) and 'slow'....been around and worked on 911's since knee-high....
996's are the better e39's ///

no surprise there. when i had a 964 when the 993's released in 95 i had to see every 993 and try not to sideways glance at stoplights longingly for at least a year, until i said "that's it" and swapped into a fresh 96 993. the stock 964 was sluggish and fugly. btw them, there was little to no comparison even though both 911's. but then i find each iteration is an "improvement", and as it should be. ( at least as long as MT's exist lol )
the only one i ever questioned was the 996 variant, as much as i enjoy the 996tt.
but to my point, now that the 991 911's are turbo'd i've got my eye on one as a dd. though i'll still keep my boulder dodger
but in my book, 964 is to 993, as 996 is to 997. ad infinitum.
