Do you know if it is OK to have the manual version in a tip? Or do you need to change the pulley? I have a tip.

A couple weeks in, and so far everything's been fine.
Shameless plug, I went to the theaters last week, and forgot to turn off my parking lights. Found the lights on when I came back to the car after a 2-hour movie. Car still started up just fine

Everything still fine. Not a single hiccup. 100% voltage regulator and/or alternator. Hopefully this serves to help anyone else in the future, should you experience the same random overnight power-draw issues as I did.

Update... and much thanks.
I finally got off my butt and ordered the alternator from Rock Auto a couple of weeks ago. A huge thanks to Mfanatic325 for the info and saving me huge $$$. Also a huge thanks to Carlos and Kevin for the info on the clutched pulley.
I installed this yesterday along with a new belt. My voltage meter in the dash used to read around 13.5 when charging, now it reads 14. I barely made it out of the neighborhood on my test drive and it finished charging. Before I would have to drive for about 20 miles before it would be charged.
Much better performance now and peace of mind.
Thanks guys for all the help.

If you install a lead-acid "wet" battery in your Porsche there is a small clear plastic tube that should be connect to the vent hole on the battery. It prevents the acid from spilling onto the car and corroding everything.
If you install a dry cell AGM type battery there is no need to connect the vent tube.
Looks like this.
