Same seller has another low mileage (9k) red 996TT with a mile long option list and buy-it-now price of $65k.

I believe they were.
I am not digging the chrome either, but wheels aren't a big deal to change.
Love the car and color combo, but I've never liked the supple leather -- the way it looks, feels, or ages. It's not very sporty.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful..
I always enjoy chats about our cars, especially when it comes to "what we paid for" subject..
Steve's offer was definitely fair, but way bellow our cost. That's a fact! Perhaps we have paid too much, but we are very confident that really nice and well optioned cars will find their buyers, and these 996TTs are getting quite popular. Will this one sell for the full asking of $75k? We shall see..
As far as someone mentioning that this car was on sale a few years ago.. That is not true. This is a fresh one owner TT X50 from North Carolina. However, the second one we just posted with 9800 miles is that car the gent was thinking of.
To the gent questioning the option list.. $147k sticker price suggests that this car is "somewhat" loaded in options considering that most Turbos we came upon are around $117k - $125k from the factory. But that's just our opinion. I am sure there are other cars with higher sticker price.
Thanks everyone for the input, and best of luck to Steve on his hunt for his dream Turbo.

I'm also not a fan of chrome wheels or supple leather, but obviously opinions vary.
Regarding future 996 Turbo selling prices, I think they will continue upward, maybe strongly, as the number of well maintained and well documented one or two owner cars dwindle.

Ya I don't see it on the option list, another thing for me to look out for, in some ads it's kind of hard to tell. Personally I would be a bit put off by a car that has only 9k miles after 16 years in service, much rather have something that has been driven but that's just me.
