I bought mine (yes it's a tip) with 28,000 miles 2 previous owners, all records, and only a tune for mods. Add 5k to that 75k and I could have bought two at that price.

the guy who did the Ppi tried to swindle it from me when the buyer told him what he was letting it go for.

i just can't rationalize dropping that kind of coin simply because of the low miles.

Hi Steve,

It wouldn't be very smart of me to sell you the Turbo for $7500 under what I paid for it!

In my opinion, the 997 Turbo can't compare to the 996 which has so much "soul".

I doubt you would ever find a car so loaded and in such perfect condition as this!

Thanks,

Dick
It seems that unabashed super smooth lying is a very common trait among car salespeople.

There are others out there. I almost purchased a pristine 2003 with 12k on the clock similar options, ($160K MSRP) except it was polar silver with black interior. Asking price was $62,500.

Color combo is unique. Very low mileage. They've already sold that car at least once, I saw it listed last year.

NADA and KBB values mean **** all for a red on tan 12k mile 911 turbo. Zero. They're good for a silver corolla or cars like that.

Suggesting $60k is ludicrous. The fact that you can get a 997tt for that price means nothing. It wont be a red on tan 12k mile car.

Definitely high 60s imho.

Cab with black interior and funky wheels. Validates the $75k ask.

It is a bit of a unicorn but the asking price is a bit of a stretch too.

NADA/KBB have as much validity as someone offering his opinion the car is worth the high $60K's.

Even if one offers "high 60s", as high "60s" as one can go or $69,999 (call it an even $70K), based on what the OP posted of a response he received from the seller regarding the OP's lower offer this "high 60's" offer is $2500 less than the current owner/seller paid for the car.

I call BS, no way a used car dealer lists something at only a 3.3% markup from what they paid.

He'll come back around to you with some kind of counter.

Yup, he's totally full of ****. That's how used car dealers roll. I bet he paid well under $60K for it.

I could have gotten myself into a 997 Turbo 2 years back when I bought my 996 Turbo, but I went for pristine low mileage 996 Turbo instead of a high mileage ok condition 997 Turbo.

That asking price is still low compared to Europe, but maybe a bit high for the US market, I don't know. I'd go for it but maybe adjust the price a bit.

He sure as hell isn't going to buy a car for $72.5K and only look for 3.33% margin with a sell price of $75K. That's absolutely a poor use of his money and/or financing.

But in the end the seller can ask whatever price they wish.
