Default Hard to get, really ?

There are so many threads out there regarding suspension upgrades. Struts, springs (to lower or ...), coilovers, etc. It is hard to believe that there are folks out there that don't have their oem parts. I have been looking for a set of oem rear coil/springs for my 03 996 tt without luck. I bought my car this past summer and realized the previous owner lowered the rear springs with who knows what, but left the fronts with oe springs. I know I can order a set of new from my Pursche dealer 400 miles away. But this seems a bit strange.

For the few mods I have done to the car I have kept all the original/stock parts. I went to coilovers but my original parts (including nuts/bolts/etc) are tucked away safely. I've done this with all my cars regardless of make over the years. I think many folks sell the stock parts just because it can take up a lot of space if you have multiple cars/lots of parts + it can sometimes offset some of the cost for the new parts. I like to keep the stock parts so I always find a space to stash them

Have you thought of posting a WTB?? I'm sure there are some oem springs out there that someone is willing to part with.

Dear gophaster, I am afraid you may be correct. Thank you ! Techweenie, I saw these but they fit a GT2. I think they are different, not the same height as the 996 TT. Thank you as well !

I threw out a set of oem rear springs that came with my car earlier this year.

Why not just order new ones from Sunset Porsche?
