Nice driving. Great lines. You clearly were a better driver than that run group. Time to move up! Congratulations though, you drove very well, that was fun to watch!

Yes, was a dry track but really cold then started snowing.
A little unnerving way to get used to 2wd w/no PSM but I turned a couple fast laps within 3 sec of a warm day and 4wd.

All things considered, that is impressive result for first time out and the conditions. Nicely done.

Here's the first RWD run:
The cold track temperature was new too, but fun no less.
GT3 was not running R comps.
PASM wants to cut in way more when you ditch the front differential. Luckily it goes away after a couple laps and can easily be unplugged. Looking forward to some time in the seat on a warmer day.

What type of tires are you running? I got Potenza summers on mine. Been scared to take it out in 30 degree weather we've been having. Now that it's in the mid 40s, I'm itching to try it...

Driving looks good Mark! The yellow Boxster you pass immediately looks identical to a guy at my work's car, he tracks often... Wasn't the most friendly guy when I met him at The Ridge either...
Were the tires not up to temp in the braking zone down the hill on the 2nd lap, or debris on track?
You'll be fine I think, just be a little more cautious than normal in case there is ice/wet/need a quick reaction and tires aren't up to temp or the road isn't conducive to grip. I worry more about other drivers than my own equipment on the roads around here... I have NT01s now, but I drove in all sorts of weather with summer tires. Give yourself extra braking distance and watch out for the Prius

Ones that are 4+ years old run like crap compared to new too.
I was running NT-01's, they're fine on any dry road once you have a little heat in them. Just have to remember what you're driving on in the cold/damp conditions around town before you've been at speed for a few. These tires are fine in light rain too when they still have horizontal trad left. Get a set of Continental DWS if you want a great set of winter tires, cheap and stick like glue in the rain.

Tires were fine, track was very cold and this was my first time out with bigger brakes too. Good reminder, had a few that day. Certainly looking forward to some warm weather and more seat time with the new set up!

Must have been a different guy since he was friendly and has been to many W coast tracks based on the stickers on the car...

Kinda OT, is there a db limit at Pacific?
