Both are wrong but porshah is really awful. My German relatives cringe every time they hear it.

Have at it, but that's definitely not the correct pronounciation.

Sorry but that's wrong. It's Porsch-eh with an eh sound at the end, not with an ah sound.

It's actualluy "Porsh-e" with more of an "au" instead of an "or" sound, and a very soft and short "e" that has a borderline "a" sound. It is definitely two syllables.

The guy's first pronunciation in the video I linked is closest to the German pronounciation, and it's the way I say it, having lost my German accent long ago.

I pronounce it Porsch-uh, but my years of German in middle and high school say it should be Porsch-ay.

In the German language, the vowels should be pronounced as such:

a - ah
e - ay
i - e
o - oh
u - ooh

shortcutting the pronunciation "porsh" for porsche is an abomination and lazy english(?!) or deutsch ( whatever ).

though a mercury can be still referred to as a merc, while a m benz cannot. unless of course one is wearing the hood ornament around ones neck.

es ist "por"-"sche"... das Ende!

dies ist ein Familienname, gibt nur einen Weg, es zu sagen
