All things checked, new 996 tt tip owner
Is a 01 with 86,000km. It doesnt matter though, because the turbo back in Vancouver is also 01. We all know that these cars are reliable and bang for the buck.
All things checked out fine and will have the car deliver next Friday.
I looked into a few tt tip already prior to this. Originally i had another tt that I like and decided to bring it to a porsche specialist to do a thorough inspection. The owner of the shop then told me he have a client selling a 996 tt tip.
I decided what the heck, check it out first. It turns out this TT checked out all the things i wanted and more. Only thing i dont prefer is the interior, but nothing is perfect and I accept that.
The car comes with all the proper mods that I wanted.
Full functional oem GT2 kit with all the ducts
GT2 f/r brake calipers
pss9 coil overs
Cargraphic front suspension air lift kit
Cargraphic 19" wheels
Custom ecu and transmission tune
Custom paddle shifter on stock wheel, a big plus!
Fabspeed exhaust
And a few other things here and there.
Will be tracking it at China asap. First it needs a proper detail job to make it looking nice and sexy again. A small teaser pic until I have a better photo once it is done. Very happy with the purchase

Very cool -- thanks!
Have heard that the AMG paddle shifters essentially bolt-in (apparently the transmissions are AMG/Mercedes units), but I've had a hard time finding any detailed info on this swap. Wasn't sure if this was only possible on the 2002 and later cars with the uprated trans, so glad to see it's doable on an '01 (if this is in fact an AMG unit install).
Interesting that you still have the thumb switches. I'm guessing you could probably fit a wheel from a manual car, but can you still use the thumb units if you want?
Great looking car -- glad you removed the extra side stripes... much cleaner!

Yes i took the strips out and painted the side vents to matte black. Need a detail job, black cars are hard to maintain.

Nice grab, seems to be we are at the same place. I have owned mine for 5 years+. :P
An advise to track the turbo, no matter ZIC or GIC, trust me the 19" wheels will make you not too enjoy.
