Default Trying to sell wheels: Where did I go wrong?

I am trying to sell the wheels below and I didnt get a single response and I need to know where I went wrong at. Was I asking too much, were the pics crappy or not correct? Any advice would be appreciated since this is my first time trying to sell wheels.

One thing that is missing is that FIKSE doesnt stamp the wheels for offset and width. I am assuming that since they are on my 996tt and look and drive fine that they are factory offset and width.

Thanks for the help!

could get ugly with responses.

$3k seems high for used wheels would be my guess.

Take some pics of the car with the wheels so we can see how they look.

They look heavy

I can live with them not being liked by some. I figured that someone would like them...

Well, to start with, they are not Fikse 10s, they are Fikse Mach V wheels.

The centers were originally designed for 17" diameter wheels, so they have a lot of rim height. They don't look particularly contemporary.

After some googling i see that you are correct. I read that they were Fikse 10s elsewhere. Thanks for the info!!!

Wheels are subjective. With the new wheels offered by CCW, Finspeed, HRE, BBS, OZ and others. Consumers can have brand new wheels for around $750 each. Used wheels will vary on demand and manufacture. BBS and HRE are still in business and always sell. Wheel manufactures that are no longer in business take longer to sell.

All Porsche parts sell. You might have to keep on lowering your price or take offers or trades..

Goodluck with the Sale..

Thats true. Price is completely negotiable and I am not picky on trades, I just want a set of black 18" wheels. I need to revise the listing obviously after this. Thanks for the help

Well, started by reading through this recent poll/thread in this forum:

https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...or-wheels.html

75% of respondents said they wouldn't spend over $3,000 on a set of wheels, so your audience is 25%. Then your wheels are used. I'd be willing to be that 25% would go down significantly if the poll question were "what would you pay for a USED set of wheels."

Then, agree with some of the other posters that, no offense, but those aren't the best looking set of wheels.

Also, many people would rather have 18" wheels on a 996tt than 19" wheels (for various reasons).

And, as Kevin says, $750 per wheel (or $700 as you now have them priced) gives you a pretty good selection of new wheels to choose from.

My honest opinion, price them at $975 for the set and move on.

Meh wheels that are incorrectly identified and that you have no offset information about and that are priced too high is probably your main issue.

Those wheels belong in the 90's, there isn't much demand for it, price is still too high for unattractive wheels. It will need to be cheap, if you want to sell them.

Fikse's are great wheels, your issue is pricing.

Impossible to sell wheels without listing wheel widths and offsets. You can measure backspacing and figure offsets from that. 19s will be a harder sell than 18s. These will eventually sell once price starts with a "1".

If they were 18's, and had the sizes and offsets listed and the price was lower, much lower...
