I've noticed that asking prices on non-turbo 996's have gone up out here too. The prices of new and almost-new models have risen substantially lately. According to a guy I know who is a sales manager at a local dealership (not Porsche but Range Rover), there is a lack of supply of new cars due to COVID and a shortage of computer chips and other parts. They are buying back lease cars from customers at near sticker price, just to have some inventory to sell. I haven't been in the Porsche dealership lately, but driving by it looked nearly all the cars out front were SUV's. Usually there are a bunch of 911's out front. So I suppose an overall lack up supply, the price increases from Porsche on new models, etc. may be driving up the entire used 911 market right now?

Those RSR lights are cool, but I’m not gonna nitpick any 911 Turbo headlight, they’re all supercars in their generation. Ferrari, Lamborghini, they all had funky lights at one time or another. And they’re all eventually worth half a million dollars+ anyway. Some in spite of the funkiness, and some because of it

According to the man who designed it, the glorious Lambo Miura took the headlights from the Fiat 850

How many complain that the $1M 930 S Flachblau lifted its headlights straight from the $12K 944?? Same exact Porsche part number.
Six days running of peanut gallery and not one single complaint about the 944 headlights?!?

Like Magnus always says: “Nobody complained about the bloody headlights when they won LeMans”

The 'fog light' seems off to me; it doesn't 'flow' with the rest of the light, seems like it was an after thought. It is also halogen, which I think is also off.
Don't get me wrong, I'm the guy who almost didn't buy my Type R because it only came in white, so my design notes may not be well informed.

On the other hand, my M5 fogs are very functional; down low and angled to the side.

I turned them on once, realized they were yellow and haven't used them since.

It depends on what you mean by "much." We do get fog here. I see more when I'm in the mountains of Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. When driving in fog I'm not going very fast (going slow actually) and I find that the low beams are more than adequate.
