Are you guys seriously saying that the cosmoline on the low mileage silver car on bat is corrosion and dirt? You guys should know better...

This is more than just cosmoline. It is easily cleaned but probably should have been done prior to listing it.

No...that's just 18 year old cosmoline... I think that as our cars get driven the cosmoline flakes off. I know for a fact that my 60k mile car that has never had the bottom of it scrubbed doesn't really have any cosmoline left on it anymore. The under 20k mile cars in the family look very similar to the car on BAT.

Sorry, that is not just aged cosmoline. The other low mileage 996TT that just sold looked like this.

Here's a sub 30k mile, cab, tip and one owner. No affiliation.

Seems to be a lot of seal gray turbos changing hands lately.

OK, so who actually preferred it when the 996 Turbo was just a bit more "unloved" then they are now?

Just about everyone I know (hyperbole) either just bought one or is looking for one... All these garage queens are now coming out of hiding and hitting the road (or the local Cars and Coffee)
