Never had this issue before though- I change oil and filter and always keep it on mid level.

Could be a turbo oil seal. Oil is seeping past the seal into the compressor housing. Pull boost hose see if oil is puddled in the hose! Think the noise is coincidental. Squeeky noise may be an idler pulley not providing enough tension, bearing dry, or belt is worn etc!
