Default New soft top

O I had a new soft top put on my 2004 turbo. Just was getting worn a bit. So when I put down the top it just doesn't seem to be fitting right.

The back hatch is touching the canvas which I don't remember and when I put the top down in the past I am trying to remember but I am 99% sure the windows in the front went up after the top was down and you hold the button. Am I correct? I just don't think the top is going completely down so causing clearance issues and not having the windows go up through the cycle.

If anyone could post pics of the top completely retracted and also let me know I am not crazy that the windows in the front should rise when top is completely opened.

Thank you

The side windows are lowered automatically when the convertible top is opened. The door windows close automatically if the convertible top operation is not interrupted when the convertible top reaches its final position. The rear side windows cannot be closed when the convertible top is open (unless aftermarket module is added). The side windows are lowered automatically when the convertible top is closed. All the windows close automatically if the convertible top operation is not interrupted when the convertible top reaches its final position.

Ross correct the rear windows stay down but the driver and passenger window should go back up when the top is fully down. Correct ?

Just trying to make sure I am not crazy in my memory

This is correct. Sounds like your installation is a bit off. You are not crazy.

What kind did you get? The PO of my cab kept his top down 90% of the time, even in storage. So mine has got a lot of creases that I don't know if they will come out.

The installer ordered the gaah top. Actually very reasonable. With top liner and installation 2600 dollars.

I'd love to see some pictures after you get everything straightened out to your liking. Thanks!

Im heading out later and will put the top down and take a few pics for you. As a side note, I thought you weren't supposed to lower the top for several weeks after you get a new one to give it time to stretch?
