That's a 30 mile drive every weekend; not a terrible thing. Maybe his job requires air/train/company car travel away from home that prevents him from driving his 996 Turbo as much as other 996 Turbo owners drive theirs. Maybe he owns several cars that he likes to drive and he doesn't have enough hours in the day given his job, family, and other demands/hobbies, to drive his 996 Turbo 15k miles/year.

When you floor it at ~4200rpm in 3rd it goes into Ludicrous Speed. What fun.

I bought my 2003 over a year ago with 19k miles and have only done annual maintenance, rock solid, even though it's been in a garage its entire life pretty much.

Enjoy your car, and drive it! Life is too short to care about those stupid miles.
