anything new in a giac tune have a very old one 5 or 6 years

^agreed...they are off the shelf tunes without taking into account other mods.

Here's a data point: My GIAC Stage II tune doesn't suck...since installation it has been trouble free, and it still pulls strong when pushed.

I run GIAC tune in some older VWS with some nice gains, granted different car completely.

PM if you're interested but the better solution imho is COBB, which is what we use on all of our shop and customers' cars from now on.

Hey Dock...I'm confused...in the other thread titled "tune" you post this:

In that thread the OP asked..."I have a stock 2004 996tt manual and thinking of a tune and exhaust. Any recommendations" ? I recommended Kevin (UMW) and Europipe. I didn't say that I had Kevin's tune.

If I had a stock 996 Turbo and wanted a tune, it would be Kevin's. I installed GIAC back in 2004, and there weren't many choices then. I've been very pleased with the GIAC Stage II tuning, and may one day upgrade to Kevin's turbos and software; it is IMO the best available on the market.
