Lightbulb I broke the front spoiler lip off of my 996 TT this morning...

I know I'm not the only Porsche owner that has to navigate a steep driveway and I usually do a good job by entering and exiting at an extreme angle, but this morning the inevitable happened and I pulled off the front spoiler. I'm wondering if anyone in the group has replaced the front spoiler on their 996 TT with a non-turbo version that isn't as deep to allow for extra clearance when entering/exiting a steep incline.

2004 996 TT front spoiler lip casualty.

Some run the C4 lip as it allows for a bit more clearance. I use the ebay knock off front turbo lip as it is much cheaper. My car is so low I've taken out a few.

There are multiple options from eBay for ~$100 shipped.

I have gone to the C4S front lip.

There is no aftermarket version of the C4S lip. If you search around you can find an OEM for under $200.

I've damaged 3 Ebay replacements, tore the last one right off. My car is low, too low, but I did raise it up half an inch before I lost my last one. I've just left it off for the last year and I think I will for now.

If it's just your lip that's ripped off that's a good day.....I'm missing majority of the tabs that are on the bumper that the lip attaches to

Thank you. I think I'm also gonna order the C4S front lip from Suncoast and see how it goes.

I was thinking the same thing, haha. That ripped off lip looks better than many intact lips.

I need to order a new front lip. how does this one look? I can't recall what the tabs look like. are they missing from this one?
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/201485257451...Bk9SR7zV26XTYw

on ebay they have some ones I haven't seen before and they say its for 996 turbo but looks like a lot of fabrication work necessary. wonder if anyone tried this type?

the one at the top I listed has an extra installation kit. not sure if needed.
this one seems to have the holes already and looks like easier install, what do you guys think

I view this as a consumable. I get them off eBay. I have a factory one onto self if I ever sell the car. Had great luck with the ebay ones.

You can also get the e-bay Aero lip. They look good and rip off at least twice as fast. Fast is good right?
