Theres no way the owner is going to sell you the car at 56k. Rumor has it he had an offer at 76k for someone to come see the car last night and STILL didn't sell at that number.

Lets be honest, it was listed incorrectly and the dealership didn't know what they had....or worse they DID know what they had and the person who listed screwed up.

If you're talking about the white car with peanut butter interior, I just saw the car relisted in LA clist for 99,999.

This car is on Clist LA like i said

if true, go after them.

Such poor practice. Clearly didn’t know what they had. I had a very similar experience with a 2011 Cayenne Turbo back in 2013, advertised at one price then pulled and reposted for $10k more once they had my card deposit on file an hour after the ad went live. Thankfully it was local and after knocking on the door of the dealership owner with suggestions of online crucifixion for bad business practises, he asked me for $500 over original advertised price to make it worth his while, but quickly cashed my check after realizing how pathetic that looked. The 996TT in question is a stunner, hope you can sort it out!

Not the first time a dealer backed out of a deal after realizing they underpriced a car... Or the last!

My guess is the owner is 'keeping' the car as the excuse to crowbar the deal, and it will be back for sale shortly at a significantly higher price.

Yup, it sucks. Who knew car dealers had such low integrity! ;-)

Or maybe they did know and they listed it low to incite a frenzy, although the rule says don't ascribe to malice what can be explained by incompetence.

Hate to say but I can't reveal my hand until the fat lady sings. But it's a great story and may require a separate thread dedicated to this beauty...
