Well, unfortunately then you won't like this one either:
2001 996tt Tiptronic with Buy It Now of $25,000. The catch? 150,000 miles.

Test drove this car today -its pretty rough - its been a while since I have driven a car with a tip so I might be too harsh a critic due to driving a PDK lately , I did not like the way the car shifted in the manual mode or auto made, it was very clunky and hard.
The motor ran very well but seemed under powered to me.
The car has accident damage on the car fax and the dealer got it at a bank repo auction. This one is not for me I really don't think I can settle on anything but a 6 speed Manual

In case anyone needs a Porsche dealership sign (and who doesn't), it's near me in Olathe, KS (no affiliation), asking $1,000.

Why does the bumper have these 4 holes, and that steering wheel looks like it isn't leather

Park assist= cant see the wheel well enough to comment. There is no free lunch= read the fine print and you'll see why these cars are priced below average.

Love that cobalt blue. It seems to be quite rare too.

Has anyone test drove that blue one? It started its price around 38k. Wondering why it dropped so fast in price.

Please share the rest of the story. That's one purpose of this thread - if someone has first-hand info, like wyo and trendy, then post it up. It's cheap, so I would imagine it has needs. Let us know what you know about it.

Cobalt blue was one of my top 3 choices when I was shopping, but I wanted a black interior. Cobalt blue is rare enough, but it looks like in the US, they didn't pair it with black interior for the 996. I've seen some in Europe and I've seen 997's with that color combo. The only thing I found that was close was a silver over black 996TT that had been repainted a BMW Atlantis Blue after it suffered a horrible keying incident. Although it had the BMW color and some mods (so definitely not a car for the Porsche purist), it looked great. It had a 6-speed and 67k miles, asking price was $33k, but I'm certain it could have been bought for $30k due to the mods. It sold in late September - I would love to know if anyone on here bought it or knows who did. I really wanted to see it in person. There was a build thread on 6speedonline about the color change and the mods he did. Here are a few pics to show that color combo:

$33K!!! I definitely think the prices are on the upward trend lately. I would expect to see that for closer to $40-42K today.

Well it sold only about 8 weeks ago. I no longer give opinions on pricing in this forum, but I believe this time of year is a buyer's market and come March it will be a seller's market. So you may be spot on come March despite what it sold for in September.
