Which pictures do you see the bad damage in? The car definitely could have used a cleaning before...

Total Turbo (non-S) with x50: 1,203
I am fairly certain this is a North America number only

Total Turbo S (world): 1,563
Total Turbo S coupe (world): ~600
Turbo S Coupe (NA delivery): ~240

I believe the 996 Turbo S is undervalued today, especially in coupe + manual spec.
PTS examples are very, very rare

If total production of Turbo's with the X50 option is only 1124, that adds a big premium, because out of those 1124, a LOT of them have been totaled and are either no longer on the road, or have rebuilt titles. Even a conservative number of 25% totaled reduces the available good ones significantly when considering the total amount of 996 Turbos produced. This makes the X50 option rare on a non S Turbo.

I wonder if that speaks in any way to the desirability of X50 at the time?

x50 was a big-money option (~18k USD?) back then, still very special in my view and the option code has history behind it

The most expensive option available

Yes, high cost compared to the power increase (+29 hp SAE over the K16s.)

I passed on ordering X50 because I felt the money would be better spent on getting my Turbo tuned at a later date.

How would I rate the interior? If I were in the market for a 996 Turbo I'd pas on this car.

You would be surprised how much of that cleans up if a car is correctly detailed (not an $80 job) with the right products

Graphene or ceramic coat can darken and restore interior plastics as well

As for the speaker covers... that is an oil cleaner that was never removed properly

Poor listing, maybe someone will get a deal!

Default GT2

Sorry to those that are offended by posting non-Turbo models, but maybe exception can be made for a GT2. I havn't really priced GT2s because they are too far from my range, but if this is a real GT2, isn't it a great deal?

Local to me...

I suspect the accident it was in was quite severe.

From the ad
"$40000 spend on engine, part and performance upgrades since 2016. Intermediate shaft assembly upgraded (common GT2 and Turbo issue often under warranty). Timing chain, main bearings, and rod bearings, water pump and clutch disc were replaced and coolant lines were pinned"
IMS?😂😂😂
Rod and main bearings?
Timing chain?
On a 24k mile car?🤔
The whole thing seems suspect.
