Three Wheelin'
So few TTS coupes, and this one had to be modded, but seller notes it's close to stock:

Mileage and tippy + mods will hold it back some, I don't think it's a $60K car.

Absolutely agree....high 40s buys a really nice 'moderate' mileage car.
In my uneducated opinion, this is the sweet spot for many of us who were looking for a really nice/needs very little driver quality car.
It's pretty apparently that high 40s buys A LOT more car than low 40s.

My car has around 78K miles on it, and in the last ~13,000 miles/3 years, has had about $25K put into it in verifiable work at independent Porsche shops. One can never be sure about anything with one of these cars, but I'm reasonably comfortable that all major issues have been addressed for the time being, and these issues/problems may be just around the corner for an old but low mileage 996 TT. Purchase price does not necessarily equate to cost of ownership, longer term.
You pays yer money and you takes yer chances. Macster's higher mileage 996 TT was recently pointed out on one of the sales threads. I'd probably be a lot more comfortable buying his car in the high 20's, than I would be in buying a much lower mileage but old car (like all of our cars are) at most any price.

I wonder if I am the only one here noticing the ads on this thread to replace "our" IMS bearings?
"Don't expect a different result by using the same flawed part. Failure to change your IMS Bearing can result in Catastrophic Engine Failure
Now In: Engine - Mechanical → IMS Intermediate Shaft Bearing Upgrade Eternal FixIMS INTERMEDIATE SHAFT BEARING UPGRADE ETERNAL FIX
Porsche IMS Intermediate Shaft Bearing Upgrade - Eternal Fix

Then I saw this: Eeek. I guess it's fixable but really, who at Porsche, the ordering dealer, or the customer base thought this looked great??? It makes 996 headlights look like a stroke of designer genius.

Thought to myself... "76K miles, six speed, no accidents, $38K seems reasonable..."

$38k seems almost too good though, I bet you the dealer is into the car for $32k or so. Desperate seller maybe.

I am with. On certain cars the wood looks great. This is one of them.
