I just received confirmation that the options stickers are factory printed (two of them). The corner of one is adhered to the inside of the hood/bonnet, with the other hanging for placement in the Maintenance Manual. The dealers install one of the stickers on the underside of the hood/bonnet, and place the other sticker in the Maintenance Manual. I was told that the stickers have been known to fall off the underside of the hood prior to their permanent placement.

Total price was $155,875 U.S.
The interesting thing is I'm Canadian and in 2002 the exchange rate was the worst it's ever been at $0.66 on the dollar which would have made this car worth $236,000 cdn then.

Thank you. It's Lapis blue with metropole blue which makes for a lot of blue but the interior is pretty dark as you would know.

So, to the OP, I guess the best way to find out if it was factory equipped with the X50 option would be to call a Porsche dealer with the vin?

and again! fastest quick educated guess as to whether a car has x50 option or not is to simply run a hand down the ic's. 1.5 seconds tops!

as mentioned above the sticker has the vin on it so it would be obvious if it was put on the wrong car. I was told that some dealers installed the x50 package. If so it would not be on the sticker. I suggest that you have a ppi done and the shop should know whether it has X50.

determining a k16 car from an x50 car would take most of us about a minute with blinders on. lol
