Air bag failure
'Seat Belt Failure" warning now on.
Did a search and didn't find much more than the suggestion to put black tape over it!
Any help/fixes appreciated.

Get the code checked it will tell you which seat belt caused the problem.
I had this happen. I replaced my passenger seatbelt as it was original to the car with the .02 revision number. The new part has a rev.10 number. Then i reset the light and all has been good since. I had an 02 boxster and never experienced this but my 02 turbo has needed both buckles replaced (one by previous owner).
My recommendation is when pulling out the seat make sure its not in the fully down or retracted position as the cable will be difficult to snake through the seats. Make sure you use 3-4 beach towels to cover the interior and exterior trim (and door) as the seat is heavy and you'll likely bump something. Also buy new rail screws when ordering the belt buckle. I paid $95.

Yes, most likely seat belt buckle. I have had both of mine replaced.

had the issue twice also. was the belt receptacle and there's a jerry rig fix involving elec contact cleaner. given i couldn't turn the damn idiot light off myself, i had the dealer do it all at their massively exorbitant rate as they need the pwiss to turn the light off.

Yes, once you get that connector separated you will find there are actually several smaller plugs bound together by the housing. One of the smaller plugs is the seat belt.

32krazy!
That might be the problem.........................
I disconnected the battery and took the seat out, fixed the ignition and reconnected the battery to try the ignition. I may have forgotten to disconnect it again when i put the seat back in! However air bag warning light only came on after i had driven the car a few yards, not immediately.
Looks like a trip to the dealer.
