I feel the X73 kit does everything right for spirited and enthusiastic street use.
Darn you, that's not what you're supposed to say . Next time start with, "I went to Sears and bought Monroe sport shocks for $29.95 and they COMPLETELY transformed my car!"

There is a thread on Rennlist that lists the part numbers.. We should start a different thread showing the current costs with part numbers for the X73 package.. The replacement parts are available, the complete kit is not available. Many will settle for springs and shocks and leave out the engine motor mounts..

I bought an incomplete used set and sourced the missing parts from Gert @ Carnewal (www.carnewal.com) a few years ago.

Front Shocks 996 343 980 33
Front Springs 996 343 980 27
Front Bump Stops 996 343 980 35
Front Upper Mounts 996 343 980 15 (Left), 996 343 980 16 (Right)

Rear Shocks 996 333 980 16 or 996 333 980 25
Rear Spring Support 996 333 980 18
Rear Spacer 996 333 980 19 (3.0mm) or 996 333 980 20 (7.0mm) - I think which one depends on the color of markings on the rear springs
Rear Springs 996 333 980 12
Rear Bump Stops Same as standard suspension
Rear Upper Mounts Same as standard suspension

I looked it up on Carnewal and the springs and shocks are about $2200 shipped, which isn't too hateful. What sways would be recommended? GT3?

I do like having stock parts, so that's a bonus.

A bit strange with PSS9 reviews over there in states as all the guys here in Oz and Europe swear by their PSS9 & PSS10's.
One thing I did notice is on tireracks manufacturer's part number is different from Bilsteins website and my still in the box PSS10's part numbers.

I am guessing that we must have the Euro spec ones that probably make all the difference in feel and handling.
After a very long delivery wait mine finally get installed on the 21st of this month. We'll see what transpires.

Suspension discussion is a bit like oil threads, everyone seems to have a different opinion.

Scott, it seems you cant go wrong with the x73's

I didn't think you could get the X73 anymore. Must've just been a US thing, but you are right. I had just the rear GT3 bar on my last 996tt, and I think I'd rather do both ends this time.

Then you'll need the TS front drop links as the gt3 bar front isn't just bolt on as is the rear. Iirc the stock links will be too short. If memory serves me.

I'm not messing with my front until and unless I complete the gt3 setup I "have" but have not yet messed with as I don't even want the downtime and I'm still on the fence re the FULL gt3 conversion of the car suspension wise. I've found a sweet spot for canyons and I'm -40/45mm as is.
Its pretty tight.

What/how did you look it up on Carnewal? Just the front shocks, springs, and mounts were ~$4k at Stoddard. I couldn't find the front bump stops, or anything on that list involving the rear. The parts list for the rear is either wrong or NLA or I'm search-engine challenged

I just went to carnewal.com and looked at the P96t shocks and springs he had listed there. I sent him an email to make sure it was the right thing, so I will let you know what I hear back tomorrow.

Just installed PSS10s to replace my stock schocks with 23k miles on them. Also had corner balance and alignment performed, and lowered an inch, slight rake forward. WOW, car handles way better than stock! Playing with dampening, right now 6f/8r.

So is the X73 for the 996TT the equivalent of the M030 setup for the 993? That is, does anyone know if the 996TT's for the ROW came standard with X73 setup?

for 3600$ buy a set of entry level jrz coilovers and have twice the suspension an x73 would be. you also have the ability to rebuild the shocks when needed for 850$. last suspension you will ever buy
mine are an early version circa 2007 with 15 rebound settings.600/800 lb springs olsen motorsports rebuilt them and they transformed the car
