Default 2001 TT ignition turning off by itself

Seconds after I started the engine on my 2001 TT, the engine shut down by itself, while backing from my parent's drive way. I have the feeling it could have been caused by the key being not properly held in the ignition, for some reason...

Did anybody had this experience ?

Are sure it didn't just stall? Do you have a Tip?

There are threads on replacing the back of the switch - they do wear out. As I recall not too difficult or expensive.

Did it restart? Run ok after that?

I don't think so Carlo, I was stepping on the clutch.

Yes 930, it restarted perfectly and ran ok after on my way back home. I'll keep on eye on the matter.

Could also be your fuel pump going (if it hasn't already been replaced).

The reason I asked is because Tips sometimes stall when shifting into if your battery is low.
