camshaft actuator help p1341
so another issue with the Porsche if anyone could chime in that would be great. fixed the car after it was in an accident took it down the road first couple times it pulled great no issues at all, after fourth or fifth time giving it some gas at 4k rpms engine cuts off as if traction control is kicking in, but under 4k it drives great, check engine light came on and it came up with p1341 code which is the camshaft bank one code, alot of people are writing that it could be loose wires or bad wire or the actuator which im willing to check. my problem is i have no clue where the sensor is so i can check the wires and what not, if someone has had this issue or could point me in the right direction i would very greatly appreciate it.

Just thinking out loud: The error came on pretty suddenly to be a sensor. One thing that can happen with these engines is a bracket can break.
Maybe this thread will be of some value to you:

thats possible the car did roll over so broken bracket is possible, by the picture seems like its right on the side of the motor, does anyone have any advice on how to get to actuator and check it.

This is link to a DIY on changing the plugs and coilpacks. Look at the picture entitled "Remove Coilpack"- the actuator is shown between the 2 sparkplugs-

Position sensor and actuator are different part of the cam advance system. Also the Cam actuator does not have a bracket. The bracket that fail is on the valve stroke adjustment to select between a 3mmm or 10 mmm valve opening.... #27 is the bracket that when fail triggered a code because the actuator get out of position.... #23 supply oil pressure to move the cam up to 40 degrees at per ECU demand....#25 send oil pressure to release a plunger in the tappet to aloud the cam to move the valve from 3mm to 10 mm....

This is the camshaft vario cam solenoid. NOT the low/high lift lifter solenoid (located near coilpacks)..
It is a round cylinder with a wiring connector on top. It is behind the left side (bank 1) main coolant hose (hose going to front radiators). Cylinder 1 plastic intake runner/injector block is right adjacent to it.
You need a special socket to remove the solenoid. I would check to see if the connector/connection is okay, and then pin out the connector to main wiring harness connection located on the right side of the engine bay..

So # 23 is what I have to check? One of my sensors has oil around it, maybe when the roll over happened should I clean the connections and try putting it back together. Are the wires going to #23 the ones that go bad on these a lot?

If you got oil around it may be you got the cause of your problem. Start by replacing the big o-ring #24 at the base of the actuator and try again to see if the message comes back and while you have the actuator in your hand clean the plug!

As per Kevin recommendation check continuity of the wires to the plug and the right side of the engine compartment...Pin #14 for left bank and pin # 15 for right hand bank of the plug #59 / 1 the other two are a ground....

I'm more of a body guy than a diagnostic guy, when I unplug the wire do I get a multi meter and just connect it to the two wires, also do I do this while idle or with just ignition on?
I appreciate in advance jpflip for helping me out so much with this
