Should have the engine compartment lid closed so the engine compartment fan can help keep engine compartment temps down.

More than that most likely. Dyno tends to slip pretty bad.
They have huge fans on it. The car is insane.

Here's a follow up. This car is setup for 1/2 and 1mi events, they had it out on the 1/4 mile this weekend working on getting it setup. This is a 2wd car with massive power, so its got to get moving before they get into it. New sequential cup car (very custom gears) tranny went in too. Ended day at over 170 trap.

This was a very public "test n tune". He's broken many gears along the way. There's more on tap when they go run where it was designed to run.

Plus, he ran 172mph! Bogged launch or not that's insane. I only know of 2 other 911s to run faster and neither was a 996.

How much of that car's engine/transmission/suspension is still 996?

I don't know anything about the engine or suspension.

The gearbox is a stock housing with GT3 tailcone conversion and cooler, Holinger PCS conversion kit and a number of various trinkets from my company, including our GT2 Pro LSD and externally adjustable side cover.

I believe on low boost it was 1300 rwhp
gt3 heads, wET intercoolers way way custom. I think tim and his red dragon came close to this mph.
