Looking good Ravi! The others are right, that is a unicorn color.

Hey Al, You plan on making a new 996TT project any time soon. I saw a Zanzibar red 996TT for sale on eBay a few days ago and thought it would have made a great project car for you.
I'm thinking about it! Zanzibar would be very cool...

Sad to say that the wood interior bits have started to fall apart / warp..

Currently I'm replacing the top dash 2 piece wood trim.. You'll be shocked that these 2 pieces cost a WHOPPING $2100!!! + it will take 3 months to get from Germany.. I guess they have to wake up Hans from the grave, send him to the woods, find the perfect wood, and then have him make these parts by hand..

Some other bits have started to lift slightly - I'm hoping i can get underneath them enough to super glue them back down.. Hoping that this is not going to become a slow bleeding of having to replace all of these parts.. I really like the wood, and think it's a nice nostalgic period correct touch to the car.

Once it's done, the car will be getting some more exposure in 911 & Porsche World with a full feature.

It's been a LOOOONG time since I posted about my 996 RUF Rturbo conversion.
- been really busy with building CSF's 1000whp 991 Turbo project

1) I haven't been driving this car much lately (still less than 50k miles, I think it's right around 48k at the moment)
2) I get way too many speeding tickets when I drive this thing. it's been 2 tickets in this car in the last 5 times I've driven it, lol - it just makes me want to drive fast and like a jackass

3) I had the pleasure a couple of weeks ago of being featured on Matt Farah's "One Take" Youtube series. He drove the car personally and really liked it!
Check it out here!

Were there points associated with those tickets, or just monetary fines?

Sounds like you need a radar detector for some added protection.

LOVE the car and I really enjoy listening to Matt's one takes. Especially when it's on a 996 turbo

Saw Matt's review and he certainly looked a bit uncomfortable without enough seat travel. Very cool feature and beautiful 996TT! I just noticed the mirrors are ruf specific stubby mirrors, some many cool details.
