Default Having a hard time finding winter tires for my C4S

x-posted in the 996 forum too, but since the C4S shares wheels with the Turbo I'd thought I'd ask here too.

I used to buy the Pirelli Winter Sottozero series winter tires because they fit on the OEM Turbo Twist rims on my C4S.

They have discontinued that tire and I can't find any other manufacturer to makes a winter tire in that size.

What is everyone else doing with a C4S or Turbo?

Thanks!
Rob

Just bought a set of turbo twists (solid from a C4S) with new Blizzaks. A few runs when the roads have been salt free have been great. I used to use Blizzaks on other lower HP cars with great results, but they are soft! The sizes are the smallest supported for the TT (225/40 and 265/35) so the rear wheel looks like the tire is "stretched" but works fine. Just don't curb it.

I'm positive they sell an entire wheel/tire package which may be your best bet.

Remember - narrower is your friend in the snow.

In early Dec. last year, before I left on a winter road trip back east to the mid-west, I searched for winter/snow tires for my 03 Turbo and its 18" wheels or even a set of wheels fitted with winter/snow tires and found none available from the nationwide tire chains.

Due to the cost I didn't bother to see if I could find a set from Porsche.

You need to get Vredestien tires they make them. Also a performance snow tire Z rated. It's all I use.

LOL! I snapped that picture in 2006 I think... removed it once and was promptly told to put it back by the rennlist contingent.

Thanks all! I appreciate the assistance!

Didn't realize they discontinued the snowsport and snowsport 240's

There was just a thread here about winter tires. Dunlops may be a good choice for stock wheels.

I have sold the Blizzak LM-32 in 235/40 and 275/35 18 with success. The back tires do have an 11" rim range, and the overall diameter of the two work fine with the AWD.

Don't use a 265 on an 11" rim.

I still have in stock. Order from the link or call me. Thanks.

Find a set of MY02 18" wheels and they work perfect for 225/40/18 and 265/35/18.

Rear wheel needs a 25mm spacer.

I already own a separate set of Turbo Twist wheels, and I used spacers on my old C4 and hated them, I want to keep with the OEM wheels and find tires that work.

Damon, I'll give you a call shortly.
