Minerva Blue / Silver Rims change to Gold for Magnus look?
Let me know what you guys think about repainting these gorgeous Champion's to that retro Gold look...

I'm in the same boat for my 996 C2 in Cobalt Blue.
I've been toying with the idea of a set of wheels but I can't come to terms with look, despite saying yes and no, over and over. The only company comes to mind who managed to pull it off beautifully is Yamaha for their R6 and R1 motorcycles.
I'm going to have to say no this one, unless you're willing to play with the gold colour to compliment the Minerva Blue.

I think you guys are right. The 1976 Turbo that Magnus has possesses a lot of black accenting which offsets the look vs. mine which has much more painted surface area which makes the car look much lighter and less complimentary to that Gold.
It's "VERY" for sale yes but I like to experiment as well in the meanwhile

Maybe the silver Magnus wheels would look good on your car?

Gold BBS wheels would look good on your RUF. I don't like the Magnus wheels.

I found these that look pretty solid but may pop a little more in all bright silver.
Maybe...
I think you're on to something. Maybe switch the calipers to black with white logo.

Another reason the 1976 Turbo Magnus looks good is that the wheels do not show the shiny steel disc brakes through the wheels...notice they have minimized the silver/chrome trim on the car because gold and silver next to each other clash (eg. gold and silver jewelery are never mixed). How did I know this? My wife looked over my shoulder when I was looking at this thread and said you can't put put gold and silver that close to each other Your Champions will show the disc brakes and thus result in the gold/silver clash even if you change the yellow calipers.

I did gold wheels on an old 996 I used to have, didn't like it after a few weeks..
