Minerva Blue / Silver Rims change to Gold for Magnus look?

Another reason the 1976 Turbo Magnus looks good is that the wheels do not show the shiny steel disc brakes through the wheels...notice they have minimized the silver/chrome trim on the car because gold and silver next to each other clash (eg. gold and silver jewelery are never mixed). How did I know this? My wife looked over my shoulder when I was looking at this thread and said you can't put put gold and silver that close to each other Your Champions will show the disc brakes and thus result in the gold/silver clash even if you change the yellow calipers.
I think your wife hit the nail on the head with that assesment! I think overall based on the feedback that the 996 requires a modern looking wheel even moreso than a 997 which is strange but the 997 has styling queue's that match up with a FUCH's style like the headlights and the door handles. I think I stick with the RUF look Champion RS184's if not full monty RUF 19's.
Enjoy your weekend boys and drive safe!

Minerva Blue is such a unique color, and "old school" as far as Porsche colors are concerned. I say go for it, unique color, go for unique wheels. I am pretty sure that gold wheels will become popular again when a few more 458 Speciale's hit the streets with the optional gold wheels.

Gents, no offense to intended to anyone here but I think there is an extremely fine line between gangsta bling and retro cool when it comes to gold, bronze or similar shades of wheel. Trying to find that line and stay on the right side of it would be more challenging than my feeble constitution could take
