So, does anyone turn off PSM for street driving?
I'm 6 months into my Turbo. It was cheap and it has been faultless, I am driving it harder and loving it more each day.
But I am surprised that I havent had the urge to press that button. I think it is because when I am enjoying driving this car, I tend to be hanging on for dear life and muttering profanities under my breath. I have never had a car that in the wet, can spin all 4 wheels in 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Maybe thats why.
So, do any of you press the button? Under what circumstances?

No, I leave PSM on all the time. Given my usage it never activates -- we have had so little rain here and I have driven the thing in the snow just 2 times -- and yet I want it active just in case.

Why would you want to turn it off for regular street driving? It is there to save your butt the 1 out of 10,000,000th time where something crazy happens and you are just not ready or expecting it. When you are in "full performance mode" and really paying attention, then by all means turn it off if it's getting in your way.

The dash button does not really turn it off, it just dumbs it down a bit. PSM will still be active. The only way to truly "turn off" PSM is to unplug the connector from the pump and/or remove the pump all together.

the interference of "it", in terms of intrusiveness and sudden activation at less than hoped for times, is sometimes more a hindrance than an aide. that's the dichotomy. though i feel it has definitely saved my a** on at least one occasion on the street, though when the car and i were not as familiar as today and i was probably less capable then as a driver. possibly lol
