Default New to the forum and the car. KC area service rec's

Hi everyone,
I just purchased a 2003 TT with 13,000 miles on it. I was not able to get a complete history of maintenance, so I need to know what I should do first.
The oil was just changed, and supposedly the brake fluid was flushed, but I'm unable to Verify the brake fluid flush.
What I'd really like is to know what I need to have gone over, and if there are any independent shops in the Kansas City area that come recommended.
The PPI came back perfect, although they missed a couple of scratches that I would have liked to know about....

Anyway, I'd love to hear where and what I need to do to my new passion.

Thanks
Dan

I'll work on some pics of my, new to me, arctic silver over black supple beauty, but with the weather in KC, it may be a it before I can get a "clean" shot.

Thanks for the reply.

Basically any services that are due on time or miles and that you have no invoice for or confirmation from a dealer/shop that they were done when and at what miles.

Engine oil/filter.

Brake fluid flush/bleed.

Spark plugs (due on time not miles).

Might as well "while you are there" change the fuel filter. A bit premature with 13K miles but the cost is not excessive.

If the battery is original you might just replace this. Like the fuel filter it is not that much money and you start out with your "new" car with a new battery.

What are the tire ages? After 6 years Porsche considers these tires past their use by date. If tire wear even across the tread faces and the car steers/feels ok on the road no need to get the car aligned.

Clutch fluid flush/bleed if a stick.

If the coolant tank cap is not a newer part # (ends in a 02 or a 04 IIRC) you might just replace this with a new cap. The one on my 03 Turbo (bought with just ~10K miles) started leaking shortly after I bought the car.)

Then just enjoy the car.

Oh, in the KC MO area I'd advise you to get 2 V1 radar detectors. MO uses traffic tickets as an income stream. (So does KS.) I used to live in the Blue Springs/Oak Grove area but I drove in the KC and surrounding towns a lot and the V1 saved my bacon more than once.)

RennsportKC is the place, as AFKC said. Karl is the best.
