996TT's are something I don't know too much about. I'm somewhat interested in this car and was wondering what your opinions are.

2003 with X50, 6-speed, 78k miles with two owners, clutch at 40k, all records. Silver on black.

Sounds like a fair price if it checked out with a ppi. The miles are on the higher side, I prefer lower.

There are some good deals if you keep current with listings here and elsewhere just be sure to do ppi and personal inspections. I would hold out for the colors, options and miles that are in you comfort zone.

i purchased my 2nd 996tt also an '03 at 78k miles. it was modded, has seen many track days, and has been trouble free since i bought it. in addition to meticulous maintenance, i've replaced one radiator and a clutch accumulator and a wheel bearing in 3 years and re-bled my spoiler hydraulics..now pushing 108k miles.

conversely, my previous tt was an "02 x50 with a porsche factory warranty with far fewer miles, was babied, garaged, spotless and had every possible problem these cars have been known to develop. i loved that one too.

How about a link? I can't seem to find the car. The eBay # you posted doesn't find the car.

I found one searching eBay that I thought was the car but the pics show silver on grey interior. The listing has the exterior color purple, which of course doesn't agree with the pics.
