No I have not heard of it. NY City is big place with many restaurants and quite a few Fench Fry shops. I used to live very close to their location on 6th Ave and I used to visit a French Fry shop that was a block south of there.
May I ask what your interest in this place is?

I am interested in such an investment over here in Greece.
We do not have a restaurant - fast food company that operates only with potatoes and it sounds to me very interesting, as well as (probably) a profitable job since the primary ingredient is potato which is very cheap.
I was wondering (and this is the reason why I asked) if you had any experience from this company, how did you find the whole experience as well as if you thought that this was a full meal for you rather than something fast, cheap
Thanks again
Any links for other same orientated companies?

Quite few French Fry shops opened up in NYC about 12 years ago. I used to frequent one on West 3rd Street at 6th Ave. I would not really have the fries as a meal. I would get them with some sauce as a lite lunch or snack. There are many locations all over town. Just Google "French fry shop NYC" and a bunch of places will come up.
If you have none in your area I would think it would be good business to open especially if British tourist visit. As you said potatoes are cheap.

I did google it.
French Fry shop is not exactly tha same concept as potatopia.although they deal with potatoes both.
FFS deal with Belgian style potatoes with sauces only.
Potatopia have 9 different styles of potato (a variety of fried baked boiled ones) as well as apart from only sauces do have a protein section with chicken meat shrimp bacon and sausage)
This why I am asking especially for potatopia....because it has a different approach to the same thing.
British people do like potatoes, such as fried ones with salt and vinegar...as well as baked in an oven with different toppings.
I am considering to operate in an island which has tourists from all around the world, and considering that potato is known to more than 125 countries from 195 all around the world it can be assumed that it has to deal with millions of possibles clients.
But again my concept (as well as potatopia's) is the potato as a main course not as a side one...
Thanks for the reply.
