Tiptronic Transfer Case parts
Hey everyone,
I've got my transfer case apart fixing the leaking gasket and was going to replace a few o-rings while I was there. Based on the pictures, does anyone know if there are any porsche part #'s for these o-rings, or should I just source some generic o-rings of equal size?

Hi all, first time post and a bit of a thread resurrection. I've just bought a c4s with the same leak described above, can someone confirm that this repair can be done in situ? My garage wants to drop the whole transmission out and send it to a gearbox specialist (12 hours labour). It doesn't seem necessary looking at the pics above. The nose seems to slide off and the gears remain in place whilst a new gasket is made then the nose is re-fitted.
Thanks for any help

Andy,
The front of the transfer case can be taken apart and repaired while the engine/transmission is still in the car. If you remove the transmission mount, driveshaft, and water line, you can get the nose of the transmission to drop down enough to take things apart and replace the gasket.

Thanks to you both for the replies.
A bit of an update, the garage I bought the car from have agreed to pay for all the work. I didn't really argue too hard with them about taking the transmission out because now I can use it as an opportunity to have an upgraded ims fitted. I only need to pay for the actual bearing and an hour labour.
I absolutely love the car, I've had a few sports cars in the past but this is in a different league altogether.
