Default Blue RUF Conversion

I wanted to take a minute to share some pics of my RTurbo conversion. The color is a factory order paint to sample "Bugatti Strong Blue". I'm compiling a new set of photos that I'll post over the next couple days.

As a general rule, I will never own a blue car but I LOVE YOURS!!! I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Great job. It's awesome.

Looks great! What front and rear spoilers are on it? Are those Ruf pieces or GT2?

Front aero is RUF RTurbo which has the outlet to channel air entering the front valance back out creating downforce and reducing drag just like the GT2. The rear wing is the stock 996TT wing due to sticking to a "budget" at build time.

Well done, Al! Congrats on the "upgrade".

BTW, I'm enjoying the car you sold me.

Thanks Derek. I'm still waiting to see pics of that gorgeous polar silver against a Californian backdrop.

Striking color and nice looking car! The scarcity of that color keeps very unique, glad it wasn't a production color.

I see you have the front bumper cover and wheels, also the hood badge. What else is RUF? did you DIY with ordered parts or have a RUF conversion shop do the work? At what point does the identity change from a Porsche to a RUF? I'm in a related business and just curious.

I tried to locate a Ruf vin (a true Ruf built in their factory by hand) but was unsuccessful. I then went to plan b where I saught out to find a rare paint to sample 996tt to have converted. The only ruf dealer in the us is ruf auto us in Michigan.

In the end, I have over $$K in ruf parts on the car since I feel strongly that they only offer parts that are engineered for best all around performance.

I did a full article on the ruf club site.
