Welcome to the PNW! I live just north of you in Vancouver, WA. I do most of my own work at my shop where I have lots of room and a two post lift.

I have taken my Porsches to Sunset in Beaverton for tires and alignment. They have a new shop and do very good work. And, you probably know about their parts dept.

Welcome to town suprmedic.

Our Downtown location right off Hwy43/Macadam Ave(along I-5) would be closest to you (although we have a Westside location too, up Hwy217 near Nike);

Kyle at our Downtown location is ex-Sunset Porsche dealership, and was their TT/GT/RS specialist so he knows your 996TT very very well (and Bryan our general manager DT has a built 996TT too). We have a SnapOn alignment machine, do everything from basic repairs/maintenance to track prep/performance mods. Let us know how we can help.

I will be driving down from Vancouver BC and will need to get my timing and cam belt tension checked on my drive south. Portland seems far enough, but not to far away, to get this done.
This is on a 1994 968. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

-Yogii

Hi Yogii,

I'm not certain which shops here in Portland are still offering 968 services. Most of the technicians(mechanics back then) have retired, shops have gotten rid of any special tools.
3 that still might are Kurt at Marque Motors, Ed at Heckmann & Theimann, or Eddie at AR Auto Service.

Hopefully that helps,
Jeremy
