GT2 wing vs stock?
When I bought my 996TT it came with an aftermarket GT2 wing. The previous owner also provided me with the stock spoiler but it is not functioning (the reason he switched to the gt2 wing after it failed twice).
I am typically a stock guy, but I do like the wing. Lately I am thinking of selling the gt2 wing and using the proceeds to finance the repair of the stock one. As much as I like the gt2 wing, I really hate having my 996tt look like something it is not.
What do you think?

Unless you're badging your car with GT2 emblem you're not "looking like something your not" especially if you have the turbo front bumper. The GT2 wing looks great IMO and SSST has a good point. That being said, if you decide to sell it let me know I just might be interested.

If you like the look I'd say keep it. My stock one failed and was covered under warranty but the repair costs around $2k if it's out of pocket. I plan on getting a GT2 wing if it fails again.

i think the gt2 wing(s) are the best looking functional add on around. i was this close to getting one myself until my hydraulics were fixed. it's not as if it wasn't made for your car! i'd keep it. also, the stock components ( more often than not ) can be fixed by *simply* re-bleeding the system. it's a PITA but it worked for me, temporarily fending off my desire to get the gt2 wing.
if still in doubt, look at your avatar again.

What I meant to say was the GT2 wing looks like crap. You should take it off the car immediately so you're not embarrassed driving down the street.
Oh yeah, what's your Paypal address?
